The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
Sentimental Journey is a B17 Flying Fortress, a vintage WW II bomber. This aircraft was part of a planned September 25 or 26, 2020 Arsenal of Democracy Flyover Washington DC Mall area. It was suppose to be a WWII Victory Capitol Flyover of approximately 70 World War II aircraft, both bombers and fighters. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and the flight had to be cancelled. Image was captured taking off from Manassas Airport in Manassas Virginia. the airport was a staging point for several WW II bombers including B29s.

Wow, such a great capture of this beauty! Shame the weather didn't cooperate for the WW-ll Victory Capital Flyover of 70 or so WW-ll aircraft. Image all the wonderful photos you could have taken? I would have loved to see that! They sure don't make planes like this anymore. L/F
