Description
The class five rapids on the Virginia side of Great Falls was the race line for the 2017 Great Falls Race. This annual kayak race is part of the Potomac River Festival. This image was taken just as the competitor paddled through "The Crack" and begins the 20 foot drop to the final slalom gate and finish line.
