Description
Nicknamed "Doc" this B29 was built in 1944 and rescued from the Mojave Desert and returned to Wichita in 2000 to begin a 16 year rebuild to flight capability. Referred to as the Super Fortress in WWII this image was captured in September 2020 taking off from the Manassas Airport. The airport was a designated staging point for several WWII bombers participating in the Arsenal of Democracy Flyover DC. Unfortunately due to weather the 75th WW II anniversary event was cancelled.
Image has the honor of being featured on the FAA groups:

Art this is an Excellent Example of how to Photograph a Prop Plane in the air, from the angle to the most important Prop-blur that emphasizes forward motion! Very Well Done! Favorite!
