Artist's Description
A composite image created by combining a photo of a Peacock I captured at Frying Pan Farm Park in Fairfax Virginia and a photograph of a rose. The rose was photographed in a master rose grower's rose garden in my Woodbridge Virginia neighborhood.
My goal in this creation is to illustrate this peacock's determination not to just rely on its glorious feather plumage to win the heart of a peahen, but his desire to pull out of all the stops by bringing a gift of a red rose of love. A filter was applied to give the image a painterly artistic quality.

About Art Cole
Welcome to Art Cole's Photography. As a photographer Art has a passion for photographing all types of subject matter, but gravitates towards Nature Photography. He has shot digitally since 2000 and enjoys taking advantage of this dynamic photographic medium and uses degrees in Commercial and Studio Art as a foundation for the images he captures. He also loves to take advantage of the many photographic opportunities that exist in the Washington DC Metro area in which he currently resides. Although he shoots a great deal in the DC area he will from time to time venture out of the region to discover and capture new dynamic images.
