Description

An unusual grouping of characters gathered together on a cattail leaf in the wetland environment of Neabsco Creek. Neabsco Creek is a tributary of the Potomac River and is located in Woodbridge Virginia. A small green tree frog is in the middle of it all as a bee dances on its back and a katydid faces downward on the other side of the leaf. This interesting lining up of critters provided for an unique photo opportunity. This image was captured in mid morning sunlight from a vantage point along a wide boardwalk that runs across the creek and wetland.

This image won a first place honor in the the Go Take a Hike Photography Group contest on 11/15/19. The contest was titled "Your Best Nature Photo "

Image won a third place tie in the FAA "Look Twice" contest on 5/13/20

Image won second place in the contest "Things that you go Hmm" -2/28/21

Image earned an honorable mention in Save the Bees Contest on 5/4/21
