A Belted Kingfisher perches close above a small pond in Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge in Delaware. Kingfishers are often very nervous and difficult to get close to, to photograph.

Ha! I agree with William! I lived on a lake for 6 years and was constantly attempting to photograph this flighty little bird, but I have yet to accomplish this goal. It's a great achievement to capture this Kingfisher and even greater to actually get a great image!! Congratulations on your success! Beautiful capture!
