A young Bald Eagle plucks a fish from the waters of Pohick Bay in Fairfax Virginia. Pohick Bay flows past the one time home of the American Patriot George Mason and into the Potomac River.

Thanks Jeff. This shot was taken a little earlier int he year. Eagles are less seen at Pohick during the Summer but still are around, Currently there is a Osprey nest near the small boat launch at the end of the last parking lot that has young.
