Artist's Description
At an inlet pond in Jacksonville Florida I observed Snowy Egrets employing a fishing technique that I had not previously witnessed. They would fly close to the waters surface, skim their feet on the water and spook submerged fish forward where the egrets would strike down with their beaks while in flight and snag a fleeing fish. This is a capture of the beginning of this fishing technique.
