A Rufous Hummingbird has been blown off course for some reason and is hanging out in Fairfax County Virginia in the month of December at a garden park. Rufous hummingbirds are very unusual site in any month in Northern Virginia much less December. There normal territory is in the Midwest during Spring and Summer and then fly South for the Winter.

Welcome to Art Cole's Photography. As a photographer Art has a passion for photographing all types of subject matter, but gravitates towards Nature Photography. He has shot digitally since 2000 and enjoys taking advantage of this dynamic photographic medium and uses degrees in Commercial and Studio Art as a foundation for the images he captures. He also loves to take advantage of the many photographic opportunities that exist in the Washington DC Metro area in which he currently resides. Although he shoots a great deal in the DC area he will from time to time venture out of the region to discover and capture new dynamic images.
