A colorful Scarlet Macaw takes off from its handler during an educational presentation in Rapidan Virginia. Earthquest is a non-profit organization with locations in Virginia and Georgia. They "provide environmental & conservation education by utilizing non-releasable birds of prey and rescued parrots to create lasting impressions on both children and adults". An art filter was applied in software to give the image a painterly appearance.

Welcome to Art Cole's Photography. As a photographer Art has a passion for photographing all types of subject matter, but gravitates towards Nature Photography. He has shot digitally since 2000 and enjoys taking advantage of this dynamic photographic medium and uses degrees in Commercial and Studio Art as a foundation for the images he captures. He also loves to take advantage of the many photographic opportunities that exist in the Washington DC Metro area in which he currently resides. Although he shoots a great deal in the DC area he will from time to time venture out of the region to discover and capture new dynamic images.
